Governor Sununu Supports Low Income Solar

Statement

Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after the House Science, Technology, and Energy Committee voted in favor of SB 165, which was amended at the direction of Governor Chris Sununu and Senate Leaders. Today's vote follows Governor Sununu's call for more low-income solar projects in his inaugural address, where he stated, "renewable energy initiatives should benefit low income ratepayers first and foremost."

"Providing affordable solar for low-income individuals has long been a priority of mine," said Governor Chris Sununu. "Our office worked closely with Senate Leadership to come up with this bipartisan, commonsense amendment, and I would like to thank members of the House Science, Technology, and Energy Committee for working with us on this important policy. I look forward to signing this bill should it reach my desk as currently amended."
