Gov. Ricketts Receives Award for Leadership on Behalf of Seniors

Today, Home Instead, Inc. presented Governor Pete Ricketts with the Senior Advocate of the Year award in recognition of his work to support Nebraska's senior citizens.

Founded by Paul and Lori Hogan in 1994, Home Instead Senior Care is an in-home care agency with operations throughout the United States and in eleven other countries. The agency gives personalized care and support to aging adults and their families through offices at over 1,100 locations around the world.

Governor Ricketts has a track record of advocating for policy that benefits seniors including tax relief for retirees as well as signing the Assisting Caregivers Transition Act.

This past year, Gov. Ricketts participated in the pilot of Home Instead's Screen Time with a Senior program. This initiative is a series of candid conversations between an elected official, a senior, and in this particular instance, a caregiver.
