Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) released the following statement after the House Judiciary and House Intelligence Committees announced Articles of Impeachment:=
"No president should be able to use his power for personal political gain, but it's clear that President Trump not only abused the power of his office for his own political gain, he also obstructed Congress, endangered our national security, and undermined our elections. It's worse than Watergate -- we owe it to the American people and to our democracy to hold this president accountable.
"With the next election fast approaching, we'll move swiftly to protect the integrity of our democracy."
