DeLauro Statement on Rising Anti-Semitism in America

Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today released the following statement regarding the rise in anti-Semitic attacks in recent weeks and months.

"The recent rise in anti-Semitic attacks in America is profoundly disturbing. No one should ever have to fear for their lives in their communities--especially for exercising their religious beliefs. In recent memory, domestic terrorists have attacked Jewish people in New York celebrating Hanukkah, in Jersey City at a kosher grocery story, in Pittsburgh during a morning service, and the list goes on unfortunately. These attacks were perpetrated in order to instill fear, and that must not stand."

"Anti-Semitism in every form must be confronted, condemned, and combatted by public servants, community leaders, and people of good faith. As hatred and intolerance continues to drive our national conversation, we all have a moral obligation to speak up and take action."
