Rep. Estes Applauds OPEC Agreement Ending Global Crude Oil Market Manipulation

Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement applauding President Trump's announcement of a new deal with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

"During this global health crisis, it's important that we stand up for American industries and the workers and families they support," said Rep. Estes. "The dangerous actions of Saudi Arabia and Russia threatened the American energy industry, and I applaud the actions of President Trump to reach this deal. American leadership brought stability back to the global crude oil market."

Last week, Rep. Estes joined his colleagues on the House Energy Action Team (HEAT) to send a letter calling on the Saudi Crown Prince to stop the dumping of cheap crude oil into the global market.

Estes recently joined HEAT to promote policies that will address rising energy prices, create thousands of new jobs, and enhance national security by encouraging energy independence for the United States.
