HUD Awards $360k to High Plains Fair Housing Center

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Banking Committee member, announced today the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded $360,000 to the High Plains Fair Housing Center located in Grand Forks.

High Plains will continue to serve the fair housing needs of all of North Dakota by increasing compliance with fair housing laws in the residential rental, lending, sales, design, and construction by providing information on rights and technical assistance on discrimination complaints. The funds were awarded through HUD's Private Enforcement Initiative, which offers a range of assistance to the nationwide network of non-profit fair housing organizations to carry out testing and enforcement activities to prevent or eliminate discriminatory housing practices.
