Lizzie Fletcher Silent on Soleimani Action

Statement

Today, Hunt for Congress released the following statement regarding the elimination of Iranian terrorist leader and Quds Force Commander Soleimani:

"I applaud the President of the United States for his unmistakable leadership in the face of looming Iranian attacks," Hunt, a combat veteran, said. "Soleimani has the blood of hundreds of American soldiers on his hands as well as tens of thousands of Iraqis and Iranians. Justice has been served, and the world is a safer place as a result."

Instead of putting partisan politics aside and supporting the elimination of one of the world's most vicious terrorists, liberal politicians ranging from Presidential candidates to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi have roundly criticized the action. Elizabeth Warren called the move "dangerous" and "inflammatory". Speaker Pelosi called the move "provocative and disproportionate". Sadly, these politicians are criticizing the killing of a violent terrorist simply because President Trump gave the order.

Where does Rep. Lizzie Fletcher stand?

Despite this being the most consequential piece of international news in several months, Lizzie Fletcher has once again tried to hide from her constituents. 7th district voters deserve to know whether Fletcher will support Pelosi's attempts to hamstring future attacks on terrorists. They deserve to know whether she believes this move was "provocative and disproportionate" like Pelosi. Voters deserve to know if Lizzie Fletcher opposes this effort to protect American troops, and innocents in Iraq and Iran, for political reasons.
