The Governor vetoed a bill aimed at improving the business climate in North Carolina by reducing the franchise tax, which is an outdated and duplicative burden on businesses operating in North Carolina, as well as provide additional incentives to the film industry. Tax relief for families and job creators has transformed North Carolina's economy to make us the best state for business -- and it is a shame the Governor would stand in the way of growing jobs and attracting more businesses to our state.
