Cortez Masto, Rosen, Horsford and Lee Applaud $264,000 Grant for Minority Business Development Center at College of Southern Nevada

Today, U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) and Representatives Steven Horsford (D-Nev.-04) and Susie Lee (D-Nev.-03) applauded the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency's grant award of $264,000 to the College of Southern Nevada to fund the expansion and continuation of the successful Nevada Grow program. This program, funded originally as a pilot by the State of Nevada and the Nevada System of Higher Education, has successfully mentored small business owners and entrepreneurs from minority communities since 2017. Senators Cortez Masto and Rosen as well as Representatives Horsford and Lee sent a letter of support for the $264,000 grant to the U.S. Department of Commerce.

"The Nevada Grow program, in partnership with the College of Southern Nevada, has mentored many Nevadans from underserved communities on their way to becoming successful small business owners and entrepreneurs," said Senator Cortez Masto. The College of Southern Nevada serves one of the most diverse student bodies in the country, and this funding will enable their minority business development program to help even more Nevadans achieve their dreams of small business ownership."

"The Nevada Grow program at the College of Southern Nevada has helped countless businesses succeed and this grant will allow for more to obtain the assistance they need.
