Press Release

Date: July 11, 2020
Location: Las Vegas, NV

Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, joined a video call with leaders of Nevada's chambers of commerce to provide an update on her work in Congress to support small businesses and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, including her work to extend the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). In Nevada, over 525,000 jobs have been retained as a result of PPP.

"I'm working to ensure that Nevada's small businesses are not left behind in the federal government's response to COVID," said Senator Rosen. "Addressing issues affecting Nevada small businesses like lending to minority-owned businesses, language access for SBA application materials, ensuring that the U.S. Small Business Administration follows congressional intent in the CARES Act regarding EIDL loans, and most recently -- extending the Paycheck Protection Program - are among my top priorities. I will continue to stand up for Nevada and make sure that our small businesses get equal access to all the resources they need."
