Issue Position

The state legislature is constitutionally mandated to pass a balanced budget -- something they haven't done in more than 15 years. This is an unacceptable and criminal act. Hardworking Southern Illinoisans and small business owners have to play by the rules and not spend more money than they take in. Why can't career politicians do the same? Dave will never vote for an out-of-balance budget that would sink our state further into debt.
