Issue Position

As the coronavirus crisis shows us, affordable healthcare is an essential part of economic security. When healthcare is tied to your job, and you lose your job, you lose your healthcare too. While the Affordable Care Act helps, high deductibles and high out-of-pocket costs still hit working families hard. In 2018, the voters of Nebraska voted to expand Medicaid, but the Governor has placed many unnecessary hurdles to delay its implementation. As a result, 90,000 Nebraskans who would be covered under Medicaid expansion are still without healthcare. I will fight to expand access to healthcare in the Legislature.
