Issue Position

Our district has so much to offer--small businesses, renewable energy, local foods and agriculture, and more. We need to work with businesses to train and retain workers and make sure they have healthcare, sick leave, and childcare. I support:

Expanding outdoor recreation and ecotourism opportunities and businesses

Paid sick leave

High-speed broadband internet access for all New Mexicans. Access to the internet is fundamental not only to our educational system, but also to our businesses

Facilitating our farmers' and ranchers' abilities to sell their food products locally within New Mexico as well as export them to out-of-state markets

Pursuing development of hemp production and cannabis industries including development of training and regulation programs

The right to organize and bargain collectively, the best way to create livable wages and reasonable working conditions.
