Issue Position

I am committed to ending systemic racism in the criminal justice system through structural change. While serving in the Delaware Department of Justice I saw the ways in which our system disproportionately impacts both low income and minority Delawareans. To counter this, I support increasing transparency and ensuring accountability for excessive use of force charges, changing our system of fines and fees to ensure that those who are legitimately unable to pay or unaware of debt owed are not imprisoned, and abolishing the death penalty.
