Issue Position

It's time our public education system reflects our commitment to our children and their future. As a community, we must ensure public schools and teachers have the resources and autonomy to prepare our children for success in a rapidly changing global economy. While the State has worked to fulfill its commitment to students' futures, public schools continue to face chronic absenteeism, teacher shortages, and overbearing mandates on curriculum.

As Representative, I will advocate for programs that strengthen teacher retention, recruitment, and autonomy. I will work to provide sufficient funding for teachers while verifying these funds are translating into improvements in the classroom. I will also push the State to fulfill its commitment to universal Pre-K.
