Issue Position: Fight Against Albany's Tax First Mindset

Issue Position

Fighting the soaring tax burden on the residents of the 21st Assembly District. Patricia's opponent, in her two years in the Assembly, voted for:

the 2019-2020 New York State Budget that contained a tax/fee increases of $4.568 billion;
the 2020-2021 New York State Budget that contained a tax/fee increases of $28 million;
a new hospital assessment which was a back door tax, allowing the state to withhold a portion of county money, ultimately costing Nassau County residents approximately $7.3 million; and
the "Commuter Tax" of approximately $1 billion, which disproportionately taxes Nassau County residents commuting to lower New York City.
