Senator Jordan has made honoring and helping veterans and active duty military personnel a top priority and has secured funding for $860,000 in Dwyer Program funding to support veterans in Columbia, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties. Senator Jordan also helped Gold Star families secure needed benefits. As part of her ongoing efforts to recognize the bravery and patriotism of Purple Heart recipients, Senator Jordan has encouraged 29 localities to become "Purple Heart Communities" and provide public recognition of these heroes.
