Duncan on Protecting Parris Island

On Friday, Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) cosponsored the Parris Island Protection Act, introduced by Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) and Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-05). This bill prohibits the use of federal funds to close or realign the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island. Upon introduction, Congressman Duncan issued the following statement:
"South Carolinians take great pride in Parris Island and its long history of training our country's brave Marines. The Palmetto State is honored to have those that are willing to serve our nation in uniform. It's critical that we protect Parris Island's future and ensure its storied legacy lives on."
