Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett released the following statement regarding her meetings with the Department of Interior and National Park Service on St. John:

"Today, I met with officials from the Department of Interior, the National Park Service and discussed a host of issues integral to our St. John community. Foremost among those issues was continued discussion and planning regarding the land exchange agreement to construct the first K-12 public school on St. John. This land swap is long overdue and is something that my office and I advocated for and worked toward from my very first term in Congress. My team and I are very pleased to see the progress being made and will work to ensure its completion."

The attached pictures show my meeting with representatives from the Department of the Interior, the National Park Service and the Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park at the Main Concession. Also featured in the photos are attendees discussing the historical importance of the ruins on the beach at Cinnamon Bay.
