Rep. Jason Crow Sworn in for Second Term

Press Release

Date: Jan. 3, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Representative Jason Crow (CO-06) took the oath of office today as the Representative of Colorado's 6th Congressional District. Crow joins the 117th Congress for his second term. He released the following statement.

"Today I walked up the Capitol steps to start the 117th Congress. Two years ago we never could have imagined the challenges we would face. Our nation is deeply divided, our politics polarized, the economy is reeling, and thousands of our fellow Americans have died in the pandemic. But I always believe there is hope, because I believe in America.

"Our nation's story has always been one of struggle between competing visions and interests. As we strive towards a more perfect union, let us not forget our common humanity. Growing up living paycheck to paycheck and serving on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan taught me that we all sometimes need help. In that understanding is also the recognition that we are stronger when we come together to achieve a common goal. The essence of leadership is service, and it's supposed to be hard if it's done right.

"It has been the honor of my life to represent the people of Colorado's 6th District. And it's in the spirit of humility and honor that I look forward to continuing that service."
