Cotton Presents Strategy to Navigate U.S.-China Relationship

Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released a report titled: "Beat China: Target Decoupling and the Economic Long War" detailing the threat the Chinese Communist Party poses to the United States. The report offers recommendations for how the United States can decouple key strategic sectors of its economy from China, mitigate the costs of decoupling, and reorganize parts of the federal government to wage the economic long war with China. "Our economy has become far too entangled with China's, providing the Chinese Communist Party with leverage over the U.S. government and industry. It's past time we decoupled from China. My report provides a detailed explanation of the threat the Chinese Communist Party poses and a strategy to beat them in the economic long war," said Cotton.
