The U.S. Senate passed a bipartisan resolution introduced by Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Maggie Hassan (D-NH), and Thom Tillis (R-NC), members of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee, to honor Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) for their work supporting veterans amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Since their inception, Veterans Service Organizations have always supported and advocated on behalf of members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families," said the senators. They "have adapted to the unique challenges posed by the pandemic in order to continue to support veterans and advocate for the veteran community."

The resolution discusses the immense challenges veterans have faced during the pandemic, including the loss of more than 10,000 veterans to COVID-19, as well as more than one million veterans losing their jobs.

Senators Cramer, Hassan, and Tillis are joined on the resolution by Senators Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), John Boozman (R-AR), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).
