Rep. Hill Comments on President Biden's Address to Congress

Statement

Date: April 28, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Rep. French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after President Joe Biden's address to Congress:

"While President Biden preaches bipartisanship, the administration along with House and Senate Democrats have done little to put that into practice. From an excessive $1.9 trillion partisan and untargeted spending bill to the administration's all-of-the-above "infrastructure' vision, President Biden has shown his true colors -- admitting that bipartisanship is a drag on his tax-and-spend, job-killing agenda. His policies concentrate unearned power in Washington, D.C., and strip individual states of their Constitutional authorities, jeopardizing the integrity of our federalist founding and making it abundantly clear that Democrats have no interest in working across the aisle.

"I encourage President Biden to practice what he preaches and work with Republicans on meaningful, bipartisan solutions to address the problems challenging our country and improve the quality of life of Arkansas families and small businesses just trying to support our community."
