NPPD Will Have Access to $3.7 Million for Flood Relief

U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, released the following statement after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced more than $3.7 million in federal funds will be available to the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) for relief efforts following historic flooding in 2019:

"I am pleased that NPPD will have access to this critical federal funding, which was requested following the catastrophic flooding and extreme weather that Nebraska saw in 2019. These funds will help repair critical utilities as our communities continue toward full recovery."

This award provides $3,737,458 in federal funding to the NPPD for management costs as a result of 2019's severe storms.
