Location: Washington, DC

WASHINGTON--Today, Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (R-IN) released the following statement on the reversal of the Trump EPA's Methane Rule currently being debated in the House of Representatives.

"I came to Washington to cut burdensome and duplicative regulations so that Hoosier businesses can thrive. The reversal of the Trump EPA's Methane Policy Rule will stymie billions of dollars generated by the US economy and hurt the nearly 10 million American jobs in the oil and gas industry,"said Rep. Bucshon."U.S. methane emission rates in the largest natural gas and oil producing regions have declined 70% in the past decade thanks to technological advancements and innovation coupled with existing strong state standards. This action is unnecessary and will cause more harm to the jobs of working Americans."
