Today, Congresswoman Sylvia R. Garcia issued the following statement on the House of Representatives historic vote to advance the Build Back Better agenda, which will deliver life-changing benefits for working families in Texas and across the nation:

"I am proud to have voted yes on advancing the Build Back Better Agenda which represents the greatest progress for Texan families in decades," said Congresswoman Garcia.

"Transformative changes and initiatives like child care, home health care, paid family and medical leave, free universal pre-K, the Biden Child Tax Credit, workforce development, expanding Medicare benefits, closing the Medicaid coverage gap, services for veterans and more are one step closer to coming to American Families."

"Congress took action to create millions of jobs while investing in our families and our children. Today's resolution gets us one step closer to delivering on our promises to American working families.
