LOS ANGELES -- Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after reports of a fatal stabbing in Brentwood.

"Though the investigation is ongoing, I am disturbed and heartbroken to learn about the potential homicide that occurred in our community. I'm thinking of the victim's loved ones and expect a thorough investigation by police. Everyone is entitled to a safe and dignified life and I'll continue to fight for expanded access to housing and resources for homeless members of our community."
