Issues: Family

WASHINGTON--Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, issued the following statement today on the passing of former Michigan State Representative Jack Minore:

"Jack was a friend, and I am saddened to learn of his passing. Representative Minore embodied Michigan values through his service as a teacher, union leader and elected official. I first met Jack nearly five decades ago when, as a local teacher's union leader, he interviewed and later endorsed me during my first run for the Flint School Board of Education. From then on, Jack and I often had the opportunity to work together on behalf of Genesee County. Jack was a lifelong champion of Flint; I and many others will miss him.

"Jennifer and I extend our deepest condolences to Jack's family and friends during this difficult time."
