Sen. Marshall Discusses Democrats' Multi Trillion Dollar Tax Bill and Push to Dishonorably Discharge Servicemembers who Refuse a COVID-19 Vaccine

U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. recently appeared on FOX BUSINESS to discuss Democrats' multi trillion dollar tax bill and push to dishonorably discharge servicemembers who refuse to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. In regards to President Biden's spending agenda and plan to expand the IRS, Senator Marshall said in part,
"When the President says it's all paid for, grab your wallet. What he's really talking about is raising your taxes. There isn't any tax that they are not going to come after They want to have the bank report every transaction over $600, they want to expand Medicare which will probably destroy Medicare as we know it They want to invade our privacy more and more, they want to slap a mask on your face, force a vaccine in your arm, and now they want to know every bit and piece of your financial history."

Senator Marshall also discussed his legislation prohibiting dishonorable discharges for servicemembers who refuse to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, saying in part, "We know right now that we are separating soldiers from the military. As that separation goes on because they are refusing a vaccine, we want to make sure that those soldiers go ahead and finish up with an honorable discharge. If they get separated from the military without that honorable discharge, they are going to lose all of their benefits, they will lose their education funding, their access to the VA as well "

Background:
As a veteran, Senator Marshall recently led Senators Ted Cruz, James Lankford, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, and Rick Scott in introducing the COVID-19 VACCINE DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE PREVENTION ACT to prohibit the Department of Defense (DOD) from giving servicemembers a dishonorable discharge for choosing not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The House Armed Services Committee recently passed similar language led by Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) in an amendment to the FY2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This legislation comes on the heels of President Biden MANDATING MILLIONS of Americans -- including service members -- to get vaccinated and the DOD issuing GUIDANCE stating that soldiers who refuse the vaccine will face "administrative or non-judicial punishment [under UCMJ] -- to include relief of duties or discharge."
Additionally, just last week, the WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCED OPPOSITION TO THE SENATORS' LEGISLATION and in turn doubled down in their support to give service members a dishonorable discharge for refusing the COVID vaccine.

Ownership of any sort of firearm or ammunition
Access to the GI Bill for further education
VA home loans
VA medical benefits
Military Funeral Honors
Re-enlistment in another military branch
