Bice Votes to Defend the Sanctity of Life

Statement

Date: Sept. 24, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Washington, D.C. -- Representative Stephanie Bice (R-OK-05) issued the following statement after passage of H.R. 3755 by the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. Bice, a member of the Pro-Life Caucus, voted against the bill.

"Today I voted against H.R. 3755, the Women's Health Protection Act. I cannot, in good conscience, support legislation that would allow an abortion up until birth. This bill eliminates all current state and federal laws related to abortion and, going forward, would ban states from passing commonsense pro-life laws. Under this act, every state will be a late-term abortion state with no accountability or protections for women.

I will continue defend the sanctity of life and protect American taxpayers' dollars from being used to provide on-demand abortion."
