Johnson Announces $4.2 Million for Expansion of Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery

United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) today announced that the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA has been awarded a $4,229,552 grant to expand and improve the cemetery.

"As the representative of three military installments, I'm grateful to the Department of Veterans Affairs for this important investment," Johnson said. "America's Veterans dedicated their lives to our protection, and supporting this cemetery is the least we can do to express our immense gratitude."

Background:

This grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs will fund crypts, columbarium niches, signage, entry gates, irrigation, landscaping, and infrastructure on approximately 2 acres of land, as well as continue to service the more than 73,000 veterans and their eligible family members interred there.
