WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV-04) released a new report from the Joint Economic Committee showing that the Treasury Department sent an estimated 91,000 Child Tax Credit payments to families in Nevada's Fourth District in October, totaling $43.1 million in payments.

Nationwide, the Joint Economic Committee estimates the Child Tax Credit tax cuts are pumping $19.3 billion into local economies each month, supporting local jobs and businesses.

"Since the first Child Tax Credit payments hit bank accounts in July, parents across the Fourth District have told me about how the funds are helping them buy healthy food for their children, afford school supplies, and pay for rent and utilities," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "As we continue to recover from this pandemic, this historic tax cut for families is essential to lifting nearly half of children out of poverty and helping families get back on their feet economically. I'm committed to extending the Child Tax Credit as we build back better for all families and communities."
