Congressman Anthony G. Brown (MD-04) released the following statement calling for bold action in Congress as part of the Build Back Better Agenda:

"To meet the immense challenges facing our country and build a stronger country for the next generation, we have to think big and be bold. It's not enough to simply invest in our hard infrastructure - the roads, bridges, and transit that connect our communities - we must also invest in the families and people that use that infrastructure every single day. That means instituting universal pre-kindergarten programs to give our kids a strong foundation and help parents enter the workforce, giving families additional support through the Child Tax Credit, strengthening the Affordable Care Act and Medicare to lower costs, providing paid family and medical leave, and taking action to address the pressing threat of climate change.

"The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and Build Back Better plan are critical to these efforts. We must pass both measures in order to meet the moment."
