Congressman Aderholt Requests FAA Update on Gadsden Airport Situation

Friday afternoon, Congressman Robert Aderholt sent a request to the Federal Aviation Administration to be given an expedited update on the situation involving the Gadsden Airport Authority and the possibility of a poultry processing facility locating on the airport's property.
"It's clear that the vast majority of the people of Gadsden and Etowah County are absolutely opposed to this proposal for the airport. While I have made this position clear to the FAA, I am requesting a meeting as soon as possible to reiterate these concerns and to get a better understanding of the FAA's current thinking." -- Rep.
