Hoeven Statement On Northwest Pilots Settlement
Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to reports that Northwest Airlines and its pilots have reached a tentative agreement, averting a pilot strike:
"We are encouraged that management and the airline's pilots, flight attendants and other employees have reached a tentative agreement, so that Northwest air service can continue uninterrupted. We urge all parties to continue to work together toward a permanent accord."
