Congressman Burchett statement on vote in support of revised NDAA

Statement

Date: Dec. 8, 2021
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Defense

Tonight, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) released the following statement regarding his vote in support of the revised Fiscal Year 2022 National Defense Authorization Act:

"The Democrats' original NDAA was filled with toxic policies. Those policies were removed, and I was proud to support this new version of the NDAA. It raises pay for our servicemembers, maintains military preparedness, ensures Taliban terrorists receive zero taxpayer dollars from the Department of Defense, and protects servicemembers from being dishonorably discharged if they choose not to get vaccinated. It is disappointing far left politics delayed the passage of this bill."
