Walorski Statement on Biden's Year of Crisis

U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) today released the following statement on the first anniversary of President Joe Biden's inauguration:

"From his first breathless pledges of unity to yesterday's remarks based far from reality, President Biden has spent a year offering empty promises to the American people. In just one year under the Biden Administration, our nation has faced stark crises on every front. Nearly every facet of American life has been under attack -- from the economy to our national security and our basic freedoms.

"As inflation hits a 40-year high and monthly jobs reports continually fall short of expectations, American workers, families, and small businesses are already paying the price for President Biden's reckless spending. From the Taliban and the Chinese Communist Party to Iran and Russia, our enemies have been emboldened, our allies abandoned, and our national security endangered. With the Biden Administration's open-borders policy and the mounting crime crisis in cities across the country, Americans are far less safe here at home. And, President Biden continues to unravel Americans' rights with dangerous executive orders, unconstitutional mandates, and constant power grabs.

"While our country spirals further into crisis, the president's only answer is to double down on his failed agenda. Through it all, President Biden has chosen time after time to pit Americans against each other and sow division across the nation he promised to heal. The American people were promised better, and they deserve far more."
