U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff secured bipartisan support for the continued development of the Atlanta BeltLine.

Sen. Ossoff secured $5 million in Federal funding for the continued development of the BeltLine Southside Trail.

The funding, which passed both the U.S. Sente and the U.S. House, will accelerate construction of current and future projects to help complete the 22-mile loop around Atlanta.

"As a candidate for the U.S. Senate, I promised to secure resources for the BeltLine, and I'm working every day to keep that promise and deliver for our community," Sen. Ossoff said.

"The Atlanta BeltLine is a legacy project for the City of Atlanta that is reconnecting neighborhoods historically divided and marginalized by infrastructure." said Clyde Higgs, President and CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. "We're grateful to Sen. Ossoff and Georgia's Congressional delegation for this funding, which will advance completion of the full 22-mile loop. Over the long-term, the BeltLine will provide people a place to walk, run, and roll with access to equitable transit, jobs, local businesses, affordable housing, arts and culture, and greenspace."

Last November, Sens. Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock secured $16.4 million to accelerate the construction of the Southside Trail, from Pittsburgh Yards to Boulevard Crossing Park.

Last May, Sen. Ossoff secured a commitment from Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to advance the completion of the BeltLine.
