Rep. Kirkpatrick Secures Over 2.8 million for Amity Foundation, Expanding Mother's Hub at Circle Tree Ranch

Today, Rep. Kirkpatrick announces over $2.8 million in federal funds have been appropriated to Amity Foundation's project for Mother's Hub at Circle Tree Ranch. This funding is part of Rep. Kirkpatrick's Community Project Funding allocations included in the government funding package, "Omnibus," that passed last week. The announcement comes as the community mourns the passing of Naya Arbiter, Amity Foundation's founder.

"Naya Arbiter lived an incredibly full life, dedicated to helping people face and overcome monumental challenges. The Amity Foundation, which she founded in Tucson in 1981, is a world leader in therapeutic rehabilitative communities," said Rep. Kirkpatrick. "I'm proud to have worked to secure almost $3 million for Amity"s Mother's Hub at Circle Tree Ranch in the FY22 omnibus. These funds will help build upon Ms. Arbiter's remarkable legacy."

The community project funding will redesign the "Mother's Hub" to expand the number of units that can serve vulnerable women and their children. The expansion will allow the organization to care for approx. 200 women and children per year. Amity's Circle Tree Ranch, located East of Tucson, provides gender-responsive and trauma-informed residential substance abuse treatment and recovery services for mothers and other wrap-around services.
