Sen. Moran Statement on Congressional Appropriations Package

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) -- lead Republican on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) and Related Agencies -- released the following statement regarding the passage of the FY2022 Appropriations Package:

"This appropriations package reflects my commitment to support our nation's law enforcement officers, cutting-edge scientific research and space exploration goals, while also prioritizing key investments in economic development and a number of programs important to Kansans. Additionally, I am pleased to have maintained several key provisions that preserve Second Amendment rights and protect the right to life. Thank you to Senator Jeanne Shaheen for her partnership in crafting a bipartisan bill that supports programs within our committee's jurisdiction, and I applaud our bill's passage as part of the full appropriations package."
