Rep. Buck Statement on Additional Ukraine Aid Package

Today, U.S. Representative Ken Buck (CO-04) released the following statement after voting against H.R. 7691, The Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act:

"The bill last night would have cost the American taxpayer $40 billion, at a time when inflation is at its highest since 1982, and treasury yields are climbing. We have no plan from the administration for a favorable resolution to this conflict, just a series of gaffes, walk-backs, and clarifications. Given the grave financial picture in our country, I could not support writing what amounts to a blank check to the administration for its directionless Ukraine policy."
