House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released the following statement regarding the United States military raid resulting in the death of the leader of ISIS:

"With the death of ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi in Syria, the United States has removed a deadly threat from the world.

"I applaud the leadership of President Biden and our military officials, and I am grateful for our intelligence community and our skilled Armed Forces who carried out this operation to keep our nation safe and secure."
