Today, Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) voted to provide nearly $40 billion in emergency funding to support the Ukrainian people and defend global democracy in the wake of Vladimir Putin's unprovoked attack on Ukraine.

"As Russia escalates its brutal attacks against innocent Ukrainian citizens, we must work quickly with our allies to provide additional emergency funding to ensure that Ukraine not only wins this war, but drives Russia completely out," said Congressman Tim Ryan. "We cannot let Vladimir Putin retain one inch of soil in Ukraine, and this legislation is a critical step forward to achieving this goal and protecting democracy worldwide."

The Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act provides critical funding to help Ukraine defend itself and protect its democracy, hold Russia leaders accountable, address rapidly growing food insecurity globally because of the conflict in Ukraine, and provide critical refugee support services.
