Congressman Alex Mooney Statement on Gun Control Vote

Today, Congressman. Alex X. Mooney released the following statement on the gun control vote in the House of Representatives, Rep. Mooney opposed federal funding for unconstitutional red flag laws in the states. Furthermore, this legislation will empower Biden's liberal Attorney General to block the sale of firearms to adults aged 18-21.

"This rushed proposal from the United States Senate funds unconstitutional red flag laws that often seize firearms without due process. 18-year-olds can serve in the United States military, but could be blocked by Attorney General Merrick Garland when they want to buy a gun in their home state," said Congressman Alex X. Mooney. "The Second Amendment is clear. I will not support guns laws that chip away at my constituents' freedoms and funds the unconstitutional seizure of guns."
