Governor Greg Abbott today announced his endorsement of Representative Gary VanDeaver for re-election to House District 1. Representative VanDeaver has served in the Legislature since 2015.
"Representative VanDeaver holds a deep-seated belief in serving others and investing in our next generation. I was proud to work with him during this last session on historic school finance reform legislation. I'm glad to have his expertise on the House Committee on Public Education and urge everyone in Northeast Texas to re-elect Representative VanDeaver," said Governor Abbott.
