Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for the CHIPS and Science Act, a bipartisan investment in American semiconductor components to end the chip shortage, lower costs for families, and create hundreds of thousands of union jobs. This bill is now headed to President Biden's desk to be signed into law.

"The CHIPS and Science Act is another step forward while we work to lower costs for American families now," said Larson. "I have heard from constituents who are worried about buying the items they need the most, and this legislation will lower those prices, create good-paying union jobs, and reduce our country's dependence on foreign manufacturing. The guardrails in this bill ensure these investments go right into our economy and not into corporation's pockets, and I'm proud to support it today.

"I will continue to advocate for protecting American labor, including by championing the House's Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) reauthorization and trade provisions to protect American workers that were included in the House passed COMPETES Act.
