Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure held an important hearing to discuss the implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

"I worked hard to ensure the infrastructure deal passed and I am grateful to hear from Secretary Buttigieg on how this historic legislation is being implemented across the nation," said Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux. "Our physical infrastructure is in dire need of improvement, but the infrastructure bill is so much more than maintaining existing roads and bridges. In communities like mine, expanding public transit and green energy infrastructure is critical to preparing for the future."

Congresswoman Bourdeaux was instrumental in passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Last year, Rep. Bourdeaux led the charge in prioritizing this historic infrastructure deal that makes critical and longstanding investments in our nation's physical infrastructure.
