Armstrong Statement on the Short-Term Government Funding Bill

Statement

Date: Sept. 30, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) released the following statement after voting against passage of a short-term funding bill to extend government funding through December 16.

"Our country is facing skyrocketing prices across the economy, a historic crisis at our southern border, and a broken supply chain. Americans are struggling and Democrats just passed a Continuing Resolution that fails to address their concerns.

These are the issues North Dakotans are worried about. These are the issues we should be focused on fixing. We want an economy that is strong. A nation that is safe. A future that is built on freedom. A government that is accountable to the people. This is what the American people deserve. This is what I am committed to delivering. This CR fails to uphold this promise, which is why I opposed it,"said Congressman Armstrong.
