Rep. Brad Wenstrup released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis released news that the U.S. economy shrank again by 0.9 percent in the second quarter:

"Instead of offering solutions to the crushing 40-year inflation that's wrecking the budgets of American families and small businesses, President Biden is once again in denial, and saying a recession isn't happening," said Rep. Brad Wenstrup. "Government officials can try to redefine the term recession all they want, but you can't redefine the pain Americans are feeling when they open their wallets and have to pay more for everything."
