LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--Following a roundtable discussion with Arkansas agriculture leaders, Sanders' spokeswoman Alexa Henning released the following readout:

"Today, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders hosted a roundtable discussion with farmers and agriculture leaders from across Arkansas, including Secretary of Agriculture Wes Ward, to discuss ways to keep Arkansas' largest industry strong and dynamic. The Governor also signed a proclamation to celebrate Arkansas Agriculture Week. Governor Sanders thanked the farmers for their work, saying "if you can't feed yourself, fuel yourself, or fight for yourself, your country can't survive.' Arkansas is a national leader in agriculture, and the Governor said she plans to keep it that way. The group discussed issues facing the agriculture industry in the Natural State, including rising input costs, the worker shortage, and upcoming state and federal legislation that will affect Arkansas farmers. They expressed support for the Governor's career and technical education initiatives in Arkansas LEARNS that will foster a strong workforce pipeline and equip students with the training they need to graduate into high-wage, high-growth jobs across the state. Governor Sanders committed to further collaboration with these leaders to build upon their success and address challenges as Arkansas agriculture continues to lead the nation."
